To Fit Size Chart 

At Dolphin Kick, we like to cater for everyone, big and small.  We offer a girls’ and boys’ range (8 to 14 years).

To make sure our clothes are just right for you, we offer simple single sizing, (8, 10 years etc) on all clothing.

Children are not always the easiest creatures to dress, so we’ve included some neat little innovations to help make this task a little easier.

We offer you two size chart options on all our garments. One size chart is a “to fit” size chart the other is a “flat garment measurement”.

All you need is a fabric tape measure to measure your child. We provide the height, waist and hip dimensions as a guideline to finding the correct size for them.. See below for details. 

1. Height: Measure from the top of the head to the ground. And no cheating – take their shoes off.

2. Waist: Measure the natural waistline (find it by getting them to bend to the side).

3. Chest: Put their arms in the air… and then measure under them, around the fullest part of the chest.

4. Hip: Measure around the fullest part of the bottom.

Flat Measurement Size Guide

What are flat Measurements?

Do you have a particularly wriggly child? This will be perfect for you. As you no longer have to try and wrap the tape measure around them!

1.     Chose a similar item of clothing to the one you are buying that fits them well and measure it.  

2.     Place it down on a hard, flat surface like a table. Using a tape measure take all measurements in cm.

3.     Waist - stretch and smooth out the waistband so that it lays as flat as possible and measure straight across.

4.     Length - The length of each style is measured from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem of the garment when lying flat.

5.     Chest – Measure from the bottom of the armpit, where the armpit seam meets the body of the top. Try not to stretch the fabric but ensure it is flat and not wrinkled.
